MDC08B - DC Distribution
Mersen’s MDC battery module fuse is designed and tested for the protection of battery modules. The MDC08B series provides back-up protection to the battery module during shipping, transportation, and handling of the module.
The MDC08B Series incorporates proven fuse technologies which provides optimal current limitation while achieving maximum performance. The battery module fuse is designed to provide back-up protection while maintaining a slow melting time. It is important for a battery module fuse to have a slower melting time to ensure coordination with upstream fuses can be achieved. This allows battery module manufactures the ease of mind that the battery is protected during shipping, handling, and transportation and once installed within a system, that the traditional fast-acting upstream fuses will coordinate with the battery.
