With the evolution of DC distribution and new technologies on the horizon, Mersen’s MDC DC Distribution Series is the product line to help customers achieve ultimate protection for today and tomorrow. The product portfolio allows system integrators and OEM manufacturers to select fuses easily for the protection of DC distribution in a variety of applications.

The MDC Series incorporates proven fuse technologies which provide optimal current limitation while achieving maximum performance. The MDC portfolio is designed to easily allow customers to choose fuses where coordination with other DC components is critical, eliminating unnecessary downtime.

These Protistor® fuse-links provide maximum flexibility in equipment design and ultimate protection for today's power conversion equipment. These square body fuse-links are available in different body sizes, each size having multiple worldwide acceptable mounting styles.
The Protistor® have been engineered to provide state-of-the-art protection for semiconductors: diodes, thyristors, GTO's and IGBT devices. Fuses are assembled with pure silver, die-cut elements embedded in solidified sand, which helps control arcing characteristics for a lower I²t and high interrupting rating level. All contact surfaces are silver plated and all hardware is non-magnetic.
All fuse-links can be equipped with a low voltage trip-indicator which can operate a field mountable microswitch.

Bei den Sicherungen NRN (250 V) und NRS (600 V) von Mersen handelt es sich um Standardsicherungen ohne Schaltverzögerung mit einer Kurzschlussleistung von 10 kA. Die NRN-Sicherungen 250 V / 15 A bis 60 A haben eine Typ-P-Zertifizierung und erfüllen die Anforderungen des Canadian Electrical Code für Sicherungen ohne Verzögerung mit niedrigem Schmelzpunkt. Die Sicherungen OTN15 bis OTN60 der Klasse K-5 sind ebenfalls Typ-P-zertifiziert und haben eine Kurzschlussleistung von 50 kA (in diesem Katalog unter den OT/OTS-Sicherungen zu finden).
